Question of the month!

There are 3 lightswiches up in the attic of a old house. Each of those switches control a light buld in the basement. The problem is that you don't know which switch controls which light bulb, to figure this out you can only make one trip down to the basement (not come back up). So how are you going to do it?

Easy. Before going down to the basement, tell somebody else in the house to flip each switch in 10-second intervals after 5 minutes (to let you have enough time to get down to the basement) and tell that person to go to the basement afterwards. Go down to the basement, wait, and watch which switch turns on which lightbulb. After your family member comes down to the basement, ask them the order of the switch they flipped (for example, left to right, right to left, etc.). Then you're done, since you know which switch corresponds to which bulb.

good idea but your adding to the question, i never said there are your family members or anyone to help you out; your all alone.

ok then turn on one switch for 10 minutes then turn it off, then turn on another switch and leave it on. Then go down to the attic the one that is on is the one you left on, then feel the 2 other ones the cold one is the switch you didn't touch and the warm one is the switch you turned on then off at the start.
